Over the last 10 years Orkla Food Ingredients have more than doubled in size in terms of revenues both through organic growth and acquisitions. To support OFI's growth and improvement initiatives, OFI Operations was founded as an internal support function in 2019 with the primary objective of securing project management supporting and driving operations initiatives and larger strategical transformations as well as securing functional expertise.
About the role and OFI Operations team
As a Project Consultant in OFI, you will play a key role in developing and implementing operations strategies and making improvements throughout OFI's 60+ business units. You will be part of the OFI Operations team that delivers projects focused on improvements in production, logistics, planning, technology & digitalization, pricing and SKU-portfolio management, network design and organizational re-design. You will also work closely with colleagues in the business units’ teams to achieve targets and deploy capabilities.
The role includes frequent travelling, as many of our projects are being run out in the local business units of OFI, on average 1-3 days of travel every second week. OFI Operations is a team of about 12 people based primarily in Sweden and Norway, the role reports to the Vice President of OFI Operations. This position will be based in Oslo, Norway or Stockholm, Sweden, depending on the candidate's preference. OFI Operations is part of central resources at OFI HQ which has its head office in Oslo, Norway.
Key responsibilities:
• Drive initiatives and projects within operations strategy and supply chain development to support the OFI Business Units to deliver on the strategic targets
• Structure and collect data, perform analysis, identify and suggest improvement areas to the OFI Business Units
• Hold workshops, perform on-site analysis in production and warehouses
• Set-up plans and ensure progress in your areas of responsibilities
• Coach and get people across the whole organization on board with suggested changes and improvements
Candidate Profile
You are an ambitious problem solver that like to be "out on the field" to drive improvement work. You get motivated by the thought of driving transformations and understand the importance of getting people across the whole organization onboard on the change journey. Preferably experience in one of the following fields: net revenue management, production & lean tools, planning and S&OP, supply chain network-design and logistics, technology development and digitalization.
Key Qualifications
• Master of Science from a leading institution
• 1-3 years of professional experience in business consulting and/or supply chain roles
• Knowledge from working in a team, leading work-streams to develop an organization and/or improve operational efficiency
• Fluent in written and spoken English and a Scandinavian language
• Analytical mindset and ability to structure and analyze data to build case/analysis.
• Ability to manage complex projects and navigate fast-paced environments
• Strong collaboration, communication and presentation skills - ability to build reports, skills in fact-based argumentation and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders in different levels of the organization
